• We have ‘ backup’ rental properties for in case there is any changes on the booked Olympic home.  In the event it is unavailable during the Olympics, we will be responsible to provide renters a similar or better one.

Information for Tenants

The information below is for future tenants from all over the world, people who are interested in renting available homes found in the Recommended Olympic Homes. We try to be as transparent as possible, so our customers can understand how we work. We do not want any of our clients to be surprised by additional fees upon their arrival in Beijing.

Applying for Recommended Olympic Homes

If you are interested in our Recommended Olympic Homes you can contact us using the contact/inquiry form  for tenants. Before you do this, however, there are some things you need to be aware of.

l  You can choose up to 3 Recommended Olympic homes for your stay in Beijing during the Olympics. To indicate your preferred homes, please make use of the inquiry code.

l  We will answer your questions and check according to your preference whether these homes are available during the period you have chosen.

l  If you decide to go ahead with an apartment, renting one is also possible, we will immediately book it for you and send you a confirmation via email.

l  If you do not have the time to search all the profiles of homes listed on our website, please contact us directly using the contact/ inquiry form.

Booking your Beijing Olympic Homes

l  The confirmation email you receive signifies that you already have a tentative booking. The booking will only be permanent the moment you pay us the booking fee.

l  The booking fee is a commission for the services we offer you. Be sure that you intend to stay at your chosen home for the complete duration of time you requested.

l  The booking fee is non-refundable and comes on top of the rent per night charged by the landlord.

l  The amount of the booking fee is  5% of the total rent ( rent per day x number of days you stay). The minimum booking fee is usually RMB 700 (USD100). You can pay this via Paypal or bank transfer.

l  The sooner you pay the booking fee, the more chances you have of booking your preferred home you indicated.

l  After we have received your payment, we will send you another email to confirm payment and booking. We will then contact the landlord and inform him when he is to expect your arrival.

Payment of Olympic Home Rentals

l  Your booking is confirmed once you have paid the booking fee and have received the confirmation email. At such point, a Tenancy Agreement will be provided.

l  The rent for your home then needs to be paid in two phases. The first half of the total rent is paid upon signing the Tenancy Agreement and the rest is due no later than 30 days before your arrival in Beijing.

Cancellation

l  If you decide to cancel your booking for whatever reason, we will not refund the paid booking fee and/or rental payment. In addition to this, paid booking fee and/or rental payments can not be used for new bookings. Therefore, we only consider bookings made by people who are 100% sure about their decision to stay for the Beijing Olympics.

Arriving in Beijing

We will send you the full details of your home address before you arrive in Beijing. In addition to this, we will also include the different ways by which you can get to your home. Transportation from the airport to the city is not a problem given the numerous taxis available for your use upon arrival at the airport. Furthermore, the Beijing Capital Airport will be connected to the city with a fastrail link by August 2008. This will probably be the fastest and easiest way to travel to the city from the airport.

Upon arrival at your home, we will let you sign a checklist of the household appliances present in the apartment. You are expected to pay a bond which usually amounts to around USD 1500. At the end of your tenancy, the bond will be refunded if all goods on the checklist remain in good condition.
